Once upon a time

There was a time when families helped each other. They would come together and plow the fields and harvest the crops, they would work together and build the homes and the barns. Famillies would assist each other in preserving the crops that were harvested. It was something understood by all of the "locals". We have drifted apart from contact with human beings. Most of us can open the window in our home and practicly touch our neighboors home yet we know nothing of our neighbors! We leave our front doors and we see people living amongst us yet we know nothing about them. I think and feel that it is time that we change that. It really does take a village! What is wrong with having our neighbors assist us, what is wrong with sharing our work and our rewards? Why do we want to close our selves off and drift away into our caves we call home. Can we not build more and grow more if we work together? Can we not have a better party if we have true friends joining us? Sure , we all have people that we know, but how many are really true friends? Why not enjoy the fact that coming together as a village really does work. Yes, okay some of us are located too far apart from our neighbor because we have large plots of land. I do believe that a village mentality is needed, it does not matter the distance apart , what matters is the ability to come together as a village. I do believe that we have it started here with some of our neighbors in Tre'AWEN, and I do believe that it will grow. I have faith and I do hope that more will be willing to join in on the effort to create a village mentality , enjoy the neighbors, work with them as well as laugh with them. Life is short, go enjoy it while you can.
